Mercè and I arrived yesterday to Dubrovnik in Croatia from Mataró. I had never been in the former Yugoslavia but Mercè had come a few months before the war, so she can make better comparisons. The place where we are staying is Argosy Hotel, a good resort with a pleasant ambiance. People seem to be friendly and I think that they truly are. Today we have been swimming and relaxing, getting in touch with some people and learning more about the place. We have met a Spanish family from Galicia who arrived six days ago. Their experience has been really good and they have given us some good advise and recommended places to visit (and not to visit). Tomorrow we`ll rent and a car and visit Mostar. I hope the trip will be worthwhile.
